Blackwall Carabiners are designed to gather bights of rope (also known as 'loops') to form a harness, then unravel once tension is released. The wire gate prevents rope from accidentally falling within the frame during use. It lets you lower multiple items without having to go with them. The idea came to me while bringing down Christmas decorations from the attic. I didn't want to climb in and out for every box so I looked online for something. The only systems available were industrial sized, overly heavy, or unreasonably expensive. This is my answer. Now you can lower several boxes in one trip. It has other uses too:
• Quick Release harness (single or multi-bight)
• Four point hooked harness
• Single loop knotless gear tie
• Double-cross knotless gear tie

Ok, I didn’t read the description very good and just got this. No particular reason I wanted it but it looked cool. If you’ve purchased the other awesome metal pieces from this site and were expecting similar size but black with a clip, I guess this is a warning maybe? This thing is effin HUGE. I laughed when I opened the box. It’s still very cool but just be warned that it’s bigger, way bigger than the other metal thingies on this site.

Quality
You may not need this often, but when you do, it is a time saver. Lets you do more without the need for help or a lot of extra work. It's very well built, will pass this on to my grandkids one day.

Really Clever Device
I have had a lot of fun playing with this. It has worked perfectly, and I can't wait to use it for real! My only, very minor, gripe is with the finish. I think I would have preferred it in a brushed finish like the piranhas. The chamfers are a bit rough and I think the black may wear over time. Very small complaint though, as they are functionally perfect.

Quality product
I tested this with a cinder block. Held well and functioned as advertised. I have not used in practical application yet, but I don't expect any problems. Keep up the excellent work!
