This is a well-made piece of steel. The Turk's head is tightly made. It will give me a lifetime of use.

Good tool.
Good metal. Effective taper 3" long. The handle is 2 1/2" long. You can nest the Turk's head between your 3rd and 4th finger. Works well with your paracord and other ropes to 3/8" diameter. Bigger ropes, you probably want a longer tool. Tool diameter is 1/2".

I love my marlin spike. It's at an unbeatable price so I ordered a spare one in case I lose it. The Turks head knot helps a lot with the grip also.

Very Nice!
I received the marlinspike very quickly after ordering! The packaging was well done, and it included a good amount of red paracord so I was able to make multiple attempts of tying a decorative knot on the pommel end. I wasn't satisfied with the turkshead knot as I couldn't get it to nestle into the groove, so I finally went with a three-pass inline Matthew Walker Knot. The spike is well made and a good weight and length for use with paracord. I would have liked to have a hole in the pommel for attaching a lanyard, but that's a minor thing. I guess I'll have to work something into the knot!

1/2” marlin spike
Nicely tapered spike. Good weight and feel. Tip is not made super sharp to make it easier to separate paracord without stabbing yourself. Tip size is perfect 1/64” to 1/32”. The 1/2” spike will work great for my projects as I do a lot ok tight 550 paracord projects.
