This is almost a necessity for the Marlin spike
The spike is so pointy and just long enough you can't really fit it many places, this kit makes a real decent sheath. I didn't use the melted ends to terminate the stitched paracord. I wrapped about 4" of cord down through the loops, using the spike to get it real tight. I'll then put a couple of drops of super glue and tuck the ends in. I also made it an under jacket/shirt neck loop.

Marlin Spike Sheath Kit
The leather is soft. The marlin spike fits nicely inside after assembly. Because of the lazer cut process, it will have a black soot that transfers to your hands while poking out the holes and it will smell like burnt leather. That will all go away in no time at all with handling. It's a good product and a great addition to the marlin spike.
