    Practice Rope

Posted by Mark Derreberry on Aug 14th 2024

As I have always been told "practice makes perfect" or in the military "crawl, walk, run" the best way to get better at knots is to always have some practice rope nearby. Then take some time and watch, rewind and watch again Brent's videos at: https://www.youtube.com/@First_Class_Amateur Brent is the best teacher I have seen on youtube!

Great cordage. Asked for my favorites and got 3 our of 4 and all were great contrasting colors! I'm going to enjoy practicing my knots with this nice selection!

This collection of various colors of nylon rope is Perfect for practicing tying knots. Further, the number of pieces and lengths are VERY generous. A great deal and totally worth the cost.

    Great for Practice

I've always wanted to get better at learning knots and typically used paracord but this is way better. Good quality short lengths of rope. You get random colors to better discern when connecting two ropes. This has helped me get more practice in on learning knots. Thanks! My only feedback is to consider a better set of contrasting colors. I ended up getting grey, white, pink, purple. The grey and white are very close in contrast and would've been better had something like green or blue been substituted out for one of them.

The kids really enjoyed mix-and-matching "their" strands. Length is perfect for practicing knots.
